My Most Treasured Places In Greece

I recently went on a trip to Greece with my class as a part of the graduation program. We visited serveral cultural sights while touring through the country. I definitely learned a lot from this lovely experience and as a memory for later I want to list down my favourite places! If you are travelling to Greece soon, I absolutely recommend going them if you have the chance to!

ESTIA Cafe – Restaurant (Athens)

I usually hate waiters who push a menu in front of your face and try to lure you into their restaurant, but I made an exception for one waiter this vacation. He really made the free time me and my friends had way more fun and interesting. I will surely remember him when I am older, just because he is such a sweetheart. Of course he has to be, otherwise no one will eat at his place, but he felt more genuine. I would like to note that I am from the Netherlands and I speak Dutch. The moment he noticed that he only talked in Dutch to our group. It was adorable. Besides that, it was my birthday and I was obligated to wear a ‘Happy Birthday’ hat the entire day and he wouldn’t stop congratulating me. It was hilarious in my opinion.

Of course, the waiter isn’t the only reason why I put this on my list. The food was delicious and we didn’t have to wait too long before we got it. The price was decent as well, considering we are all poor high schoolers. Link to their website

On our third day we went to Delphi and we stayed for one night in a crappy hotel. The bed was ok and the breakfast was alright, but everything else was terrible. Luckily enough was the scenery amazing and that made everything up for me. While we had some free time to lunch and explore the environment I went strolling around with a good friend of mine. We took lovely pictures of the many stairs and stray cats that are there. We eventually decided to climb all the way up the mountain and I certainly don’t regret this decision. If you ever happen to pass by Delphi, stop for a few hours and just hang around and enjoy the beautiful place it is.

Ancient Corinth

I am pretty sure this place’s only purpose is to exploit tourists, but that doesn’t take away the lovely memory I have made there. I have to be honest, there isn’t much to do except for eating, visiting ruins and buying lots of souvenirs. But still, it is a cute place with old buildings and as a beginner photographer such things are my aesthetic.

We had a bite at a really good restaurant, cheap food and they serve very quickly (!), and after that we went to the local supermarket to buy some fruit. To my surprise was the assortment very limited. I had thought that Greece as a Southern European country would be flooded with exotic fruits such as mango, papaya and pineapple, but it was limited to strawberries and apples. Very delicious also, but I was looking forward to eating fruits that are super expensive back home! Next the group had decided to split up and I went on a souvenirs hunt with a friend. We didn’t have to search long, because there is a souvenirs shop around every corner. Some shops carry quite unique things I haven’t seen in other souvenirshops throughout the country, so I definitely recommend sneaking around and maybe you’ll find something special!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it! If you are going to Greece in a little while; have fun! It really is a beautiful country. As for my blog, I hope to write more things like this in the future, because I love travelling and immersing in unknown cultures. I hope to go on exchange after my graduation, so if you are interested in such things stay tuned! If you want more updates please follow my social media that are listed somewhere on my blog. See you next time \(´∀`●)/★,。・:・゚

Anime I’m Currently Watching

Hello everyone!~

It has been quite a while since my last post, but I just couldn’t decide what to write about. But then it just came to me; anime. As I have stated in my earlier posts, I love watching anime. And if you are looking for anime recommendations; this post is meant for you!

Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge (Tanaka-kun is Always Listless)

Sighing, leaning on his elbows, sleepy eyes. Tanaka-kun is a boy who basically doesn’t try but isn’t disliked. This is a laid-back youth comedy about Tanaka-kun and the quiet Oota who can’t leave him alone.

Okay, I started this anime yesterday night (I’m not kidding) and I had to stop myself from binge-watching it. Tanaka-kun is a really relatable lazy dork and you can’t help but fall in love with him and the show. Everything, from the music to the art style, has this calm aura surrounding it, and it fits perfectly with the story. You don’t have to expect some crazy wild story or anything like that. Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge is one of those lay-back shows you watch for no apparent reason, but that’s not really important.

A chance event triggered Shouyou Hinata’s love for volleyball. His club had no members, but somehow persevered and finally made it into its very first and final regular match of middle school, where it was steamrolled by Tobio Kageyama, a superstar player known as “King of the Court.” Vowing revenge, Hinata applied to the Karasuno High School volleyball club… only to come face-to-face with his hated rival, Kageyama!

Everyone has probably already seen this anime, but whatever. I’m not a huge fan of sport anime, everything seems just really pointless and predictable to me. So I never really bothered watching Haikyuu!! But oh man, I was wrong..

I am currently on the second season and the love I feel for these volleyballing dorks keeps growing every day. I can’t tell much about the show, since it’s all about volleyball, volleyball and uh.. volleyball? The games are intense. I even caught myself cursing when one of Karasuno’s spikes got blocked. Oh well

I am even going to cosplay this beautiful momma. You can follow my Instagram if you want to be up to date with the progress of my Sugawara cosplay!

The anime’s setting is a fictional Japanese city named Sugomori City. One day, Noriko Sonosaki tells her classmate Katsuhira Agata, “You have been selected to be a Kiznaiver.” The Kizuna System, which allows Katsuhira to share his wounds, connects him to the classmates whose lives and personalities completely differ from his. The Kizuna System is an incomplete system for the implementation of world peace that connects people through wounds. All those who are connected to this system are called Kiznaivers. When one Kiznaiver is wounded, the system divides and transmits the wound among the other Kiznaivers. Sugomori City is built on reclaimed land, but as the years go by, the city’s population is decreasing. The story is set in this town where Katsuhira and the others live.

I started watching this anime, because there was a lot of hype around it. The anime itself seems pretty okay, I like the concept of the whole Kiznaiver System, but I have no idea where they are going with it. I can’t say much about it. That’s pretty much it, I am sorry if you expected a bit more here, but I don’t want to make any wrong assumptions about it.

I really like Nico’s character design though, she is a super adorable cutie pie. And I am really hooked on the OP. I actually started listening to it before I had started watching Kiznaiver. Oops.

Thanks for reading and see you in my next blog post! (・ω ・✿)✧・゚: *✧・゚:*

Hello Cuties ≧◠◡◠≦

Hi person who is reading this!

I welcome you to my very first blog(post) ever! I am kinda nervous about writing this, since I have no idea who is going to read this. Let’s just start with introducing myself. ヾ(^-^)

My name is Laura and I am from the Netherlands. The reason why I started this blog is to improve my English and practice my writing skills. I would also love to learn more about photography and such. I wanted to mix both things into one hobby and that’s how my blog was born! Yaay.

But what is this blog about? I recently got into watching anime and cosplaying (about a year ago) so you can expect a lot of posts related to that. I also love doing reviews for companies, because trying out new things is very exciting! o(〃^▽^〃)o

I will also write posts every now and then about the places I visit when I am travelling. I am going to some exciting countries this year, so stay tuned for that!

I will try to upload one post every week, but I am really busy with school so I won’t be surprised if it will be once every two weeks! Haha. If you want to keep updated on when I post another blogpost, you can follow my social media links that are somewhere down below!

Have a nice day and this is a friendly reminder that you are beautiful,

Laura. ✧ ─=≡Σ((( つ•̀ω•́)つ
